English Novel

In English class this year we are going to read an English novel. We could choose between “about a boy” by Nick Hornby, or “the absolutely true diary of a part-time Indian” by Sherman Alexie. My choice fell on the book “about a boy”. The reason I choose this book is that I thought it seemed interesting, and I have heard about the book before. I am now going to read the first chapter, and I am really excited to see if the book reaches up to my expectations.

My first impression of the book “about a boy” after reading the first four chapters was quite well. The book started by introducing a 12-year-old boy named Marcus and his mother, and the 36-year-old man without a life for himself, named Will.  The chapters in the book are divided into every other person, between Marcus and Will.

The book is easy to read, and the language is understanding. The sentences have perfect length, not too short and not too long. The book is entertaining, and I wish to continue reading as soon as possible.
